Not legal for basic
You may: use any feature of your camera while photographing your entry, with the exception of combining multiple captures in-camera.

May be legal for Advanced, difficult to know, you can use ANY feature of the camera BUT you must create your entry from 1-10 captures of a single scene (defined as a scene whose composition/framing does not change)

You'd need to go to SC for clarification I think!

You could get around it by using an ND filter to create a really long exposure and then cover the lens halfway through the shot, recompose and remove the cover. You'd have to overexpose and probably a lot of trial and error but it would be legal as it is a single capture
