Its really a shame that there was a leaf blocking this because it just cuts the flower up and doesn't work, i think the clarity and color you captured was very nice but the blockage and then a semi artificial blurring of the background just throws it off for me

I like the choice of water drops on the petals - they add some needed visual interest.

A bit more of a punch in the color of the flower would give the image more impact. More dof would also improve things a bit. The image could also be reframed and shot from another angle. I know it's a flower from the description, but it's not entirely clear by looking at the image what this is a picture of.

Good composition and depth of field, this definitely would have benefited from the use of Levels and some Contrast adjustment.
