The Long Way Back Homeby dsidwellComment by andri: I think I like this one better in B&W (use a combination of the red and green channels in Channel mixer in Photoshop).
Other than that, it's really nice. Perhaps nitpicking, I don't like how the sky to left is cut off and the black dot in the sand to the right of the guy. |

The Zoneby dsidwellComment by hanneke: this image is so lively, I would like to stand up and join him in this experience..
maybe a little crop to get rid of the right and a little of the left, I think that makes this image even more strong
great job! |

Palmsby dsidwellComment by glad2badad: From the thumbnail the rock looked bigger and brighter. Now I can see it's actually exposed just right. Looks like an intersting place to visit. Nothing in the image info says where this is... :-/ Not that I put that in my portfolio images very often either. He-he. I bet this place has some interesting views to it at different times of the day, dusk, dawn, etc... One minor thing, if you have a good noise reduction tool you could clean up the blue sky a little. It's not bad by any means...just a thought. Nice photo. |

Aspen Mistby dsidwellComment by glad2badad: Very nice. I like the soft, mystical feel of this image. Great DOF. Makes the forest look like it goes on and on forever. If I had any constructive feedback at all I would suggest trying to lose the top left corner where you see some sky. It distracts a bit from the depth of the image - makes me feel like I'm at the edge of the woods looking in rather than being in the middle of the forest. Regardless, congrats on a great shot!
Smile and keep having fun! ;^)

Mount Olympusby dsidwellComment by Jutilda: How did I miss this? It is amazing. The composition is perfect. The rocky foreground with it's roundness makes for a great grounding force for the peak of the mountain. Lovely colors too - so rich! This is one you can study for a long time. Aaaah! What a joy. |

Mount Olympusby dsidwellComment by pncowley: Nice one, David! I especially like the rocks in the foreground... and the fact that it's taken in the middle of suburbia. The high color saturation adds a nice depth to the shot; the clouds are a perfect touch. |
