The highest peak at left really is Mount Olympus, east of Salt Lake City. Oddly, this photo was taken in Salt Lake City in an undeveloped lot near South Jordan, a suburb.

The second highest peak, on the right, is the visible of the Twin Peaks.

PP: I adjusted things separately for sky and ground, and mainly did Autocolor with some fading. I also slid the middle slider to the right in LEVELS just a bit, which slightly darkened the midtones. I did some cloning to take away some weird elements.

I like this shot, but I wish I was just a few inches taller. As I recall, I took this while holding the camera high above my head to peek over the rocks.

How did I miss this? It is amazing. The composition is perfect. The rocky foreground with it's roundness makes for a great grounding force for the peak of the mountain. Lovely colors too - so rich! This is one you can study for a long time. Aaaah! What a joy.

Nice one, David! I especially like the rocks in the foreground... and the fact that it's taken in the middle of suburbia. The high color saturation adds a nice depth to the shot; the clouds are a perfect touch.

A shift to the right by the photographer would have greatly enhanced this photo, eliminating the rock further out in the foreground and emphasizing the mountain. Overall, very nice color and concept.

Great landscape and dramatic sky but I find the foreground boulders too much, they draw the eye away from the mountains and sky...

Very nice capture... the high saturation on the sky is really nice... i just think that the rock on the left blends a little with the mountain. besides that it's a really nice capture.

the foreground rocks steal the show... and don't really tie into the Mt. theme, crop them out and this shot has potential

Cool shot! Mountains in background look like a backdrop of sorts. Like the levels or stages (varied focal points) that draw you into the shot. Good job!

The type of landscape that appeals to me the most; multi-layered scene shot preferably from a relatively low angle/point of view with interesting foreground elements, dimensions of which are sometimes exagerrated by the use of wide-angle lens, and good DoF, which gives the image a 3-dimensional feel. I just wish that the middle layer (land between foreground rocks and the distant mountains) had more light/detail so that I could "travel" across the scene savoring every step instead of jumping from the rocks directly to the mountains. That's to say that the picture somewhat falls short of its full potential, in my opinion. Good work nevertheless.

Excellent shot in regards to colour, contrast and sharpness and I love that sky so good job on the post processing but the rocks in the foreground are taking up way too much space for my taste so I "only" gave it a 7. Good job nevertheless.

Wow! I love what you did with the sky. The rocks in the foreground give a feeling of scale. Well done!

Wonderful composition!!! The lovely mountain backdrop and sky is nice, but the way you included the rocks in the foreground really makes the photo!! Well done!
