Winter Feedingby JedusiComment by stargazer05766: Ah Ha. Was wondering if wild ponies kept their distance.. They look healthy and well cared for.. The lighting, color, and pose of this pony makes this an extraordinare shot..
This could be a painting for an artist.. It almost looks like a painting w the frame..

Thanks Sandy - it was actually one of three I considered putting into the Desat (another was 'Following the land'), but I chose to remove the number plate details (license plate?) for privacy as much as appearance, and wasn't sure whether I would have broken the editing rules with that simple action. Hey ho. Message edited by author 2007-05-28 05:21:31. |

Winter Feedingby JedusiComment by SandyP: Steve, Wow! This is beautiful! It's a gorgeous animal, and the way the light warms up those rich golden colors, it looks like a painting. I love it that the horse is eating but has her head up. It looks so unposed -- yet posed.
This is such a great photo.

Brilleauby JedusiComment by howzitboy: id lose that thing in the water, saturate the red outfit a bit more, add more sky and go vertical. oh, and there is 2 spots in the sky id fix too (like water drops). |

Life in Deathby JedusiComment by colorcarnival: Love how you took it from the perspective of the flowers arcing over the cross. Love the vibrant pink contrast vs. the white cold stone. |

Life in Deathby JedusiComment by posthumous: my favorite thing about this image is that you've cropped off the edges of the tombstone so it completely takes over the background. It becomes an embossed sky of stone. I might try enhancing this effect by not centering the cross, but that might screw up the composition. |
