The Horses and Ponies in the New Forest live wild most of the year, but come late autumn, early winter Farmers will often put additional straw and hay out to supplement their diets.

Ah Ha. Was wondering if wild ponies kept their distance.. They look healthy and well cared for.. The lighting, color, and pose of this pony makes this an extraordinare shot..
This could be a painting for an artist.. It almost looks like a painting w the frame..

Steve, Wow! This is beautiful! It's a gorgeous animal, and the way the light warms up those rich golden colors, it looks like a painting. I love it that the horse is eating but has her head up. It looks so unposed -- yet posed.
