I think you've captured the feel that the original photographer was trying to create. I think this photo is a hard one to redo in the first place. maybe doing more of a close-up to a particular piece of playground equipment could have given this more interest. I think you did a great job keeping the focus and the lighting good with such a dark (outside) photo

I like the reflection and your B&W conversion. I bet this would be a great place to take some candids when people are present. I wonder if a bit more on top would balance it out a bit.

The reflections are certainly nice here, but my eye is drawn to the other photographer. I always wonder if they are from DPC or what they are trying to shoot. I like how he parallels the dark vertical reflections.

I like the contrast created by the white boat on the dark water, both in tone and texture. There's just the right amount of movement in the water to make it interesting.

a lot better than the original, but overall a bit dark. had also cropped off the right quarter to get rid of the "bar" sign (even if that makes sense in a way). soft focus would have been good, to keep the "blurry" part
