springtime02szbwDSCN2753.jpgby tnunComment by puzzled: I like this one much better than the free study (sorry) on several levels: First, the wood planter thing is quite a distraction in the middle of the other picture, but here it's a wonderful leading line helping the pedestrian through the image. Second, the lines in the walls that aren't really noticeable in the other version are supporting features here. They get the viewer to look right at the gentleman with the flowers, and it's he who's the subject in my mind. I could go on and on, but I think I'll just add this shot to my faves in instead :-)
edited to correct sneaky swedish characters that messed up my spelling :-)Message edited by author 2008-03-09 05:14:13. |

collector spoonby tnunComment by tosk: I don't think this background really helps much. There's also a lot happening in the spoon reflection, but it doesn't add to the composition. |

Her poem really works well because at very first glance the central leaf had the feeling of a theatrical mask (silent face).
Love nature scenes and you did very well with this particular one. |

Not My Petby tnunComment by Sonifo: yikes! looks like he could jump over the fence. I really like how the focus is on him, but again..to much gray for me. but not sure it would bring my eyes to him without this effect. hmmm.. |

leaf manby tnunComment by Bruce_the_Robert: Another attempt at something (a poem? I'm not quite sure) for this image:
Before the land was discovered
They were here, and they lived
Living, loving, hunting, celebrating
Only then to be one piece of the discovery
With their strongest remaining claim to this place
The remains of their ancestors |
