collectingby tnunComment by colorcarnival: I guess I will go against the crew and say that I like this in black and white. I think the grass around the colander is unnecessary and detracts from the beauty of the light captured on the lettuce. You have some interesting tones on the veggies that I think could be enhanced with a tad bit of contrast. |

3 sistersby tnunComment by colorcarnival: I like the hidden mickey comment lol. This looks pretty cool! I love the lighting and how it is also reflecting on the inside of the colanders. I like the touch of noise too. Looks great in black and white! |

"and Mom says..."by tnunComment by MaryO: If you glue a tripod to your jacket, you need to share a picture of the setup with us ;-)
You did catch a great moment and I'm glad you decided to post it. Pileated Woodpeckers are such awesome birds and I'm always excited to get a shot of one, but getting the baby framed by the nest opening is a one in a million shot. |

"and Mom says..."by tnunComment by MelonMusketeer: You almost got it. This is one of the situations where a DSLR has the flexibility to allow you to focus on the subject that you want, or to select the area of the image to focus on in the viewfinder. The camera focused on the little branch in the foreground in this shot.
Like you said, not the best photo, but it is a nice snapshot to share what's going on around your home.

robin in birch treeby tnunComment by trevytrev: I recognize the Robin so well that I don't even need to see it in color, I know right away. Interesting choice of b&w, almost looks like IR. |

robin in birch treeby tnunComment by tnun: Didn't do anything beyond Basic Ed. I've wondered if that is a break in the leaves or an effect of the Irfanview USM. |
