"And furthermore..."by tnunComment by MaryO: Looks like junior is getting more impatient by the day :-) Much clearer shot (I even see a catchlight in mama's eye); I'm really glad you went back and got this. |

red dragonflyby tnunComment by MaryO: I don't see red ones often around here so I'm glad you got such a nice, clear shot to share. |

"And furthermore..."by tnunComment by MelonMusketeer: This is a very clear shot for that range with a P&S. Your reshoot paid off in this shot. It looks like the fledgling is about ready to begin flying with it's parents to learn how to be an adult.
We have a pair of smaller woodpeckers that nest in the same tree in our yard every season. Limbs and leaves on the tree block having a clear view to the entrance to the nest though. |

red dragonflyby tnunComment by MelonMusketeer: The Panasonic did a nice job of focus and capture for this scene. The P&S cameras seem to have the right stuff for close shooting. Color and overall sharpness is excellent in the area of focus.
I see that the same variety of dragonfly that we have here lives there as well, even though the climate is totally different in the winter. |

"and Mom says..."by tnunComment by JuliBoc: Too bad about the quality. That's so frustrating when the capture is so wonderful. I find the pileated woodpeckers very hard to shoot. They are always so high up in the trees. I've gotten lots of shots, but none that I am really happy with. |

twoby tnunComment by JuliBoc: I like the water drops. They are so bright and clear. I really miss the color though, I don't think this converted well to b&w. |
