Now that I know the story behind the photo, I've decided I really like the photo - and Willie too! I just kinda got freaked out because, well, my dog is getting up in years. Anyway, it's a great photo and I love it's uniqueness.

I used to have this in my garden-a lovely plant...red blooms as I recall. I like how you have shown the complexity of the flower and the wonderful tracing of the leaf veins. VEry lovely in B&W.

I agree with Melethia. If I had voted in this challenge, I would've scored this quite well (better than your final score!). The composition, with the dog walking towards the viewer, perfectly in line with the center line of the road, and the person half out of the picture really appeals to me. The image has extra impact because the dog is looking into the camera. Nice work!
