Summer Closing by jasonlpriceComment by jjstager2: The title tries to make this fit - but it's a stretch. Beautiful blues in this one. A dead leaf is certainly incongruous with the water color and definitely not evocative of the closing of summer for me. |

Day 18: You look'n at me?by jasonlpriceComment by dtremain: I was also going to comment about the eyes - did you catch it mid-blink? Maybe it is just the way the cat looks. DOF works very nicely in this shot - even with the foreground OOF. |

Day 18: You look'n at me?by jasonlpriceComment by glad2badad: This cat is a prime subject for B/W with that mix of tones in the fur. So where was this cat? In a tree outside a window or something?
I like cats (we have two), but the eyes here look a little weird (nothing wrong with the photo - just the cat). :P |

Summer Closing by jasonlpriceComment by jonfrommk: This is such a subtle photo. I really like it and hope it does well for you (although given that the first time I looked at it it didnt immediately slap me round the face I wonder how it will do with speed votes). Outsanding focus dof and colouring. The boarder also works very well. Bump to 8 |

Day 12: On the Strong Riverby jasonlpriceComment by BeckyT: First thing I thought when I saw this was "Where's Waldo" and it looks like others thought the same thing. To me the focus is the beauty of everything around you. It is hard in my opinion to focus on just one thing when you photographing nature. Sometimes I just like looking at a photograh that has more than one thing to look at. Great tones. |
