so the day begins.jpgby ChimericImagerComment by Wink: Unusual but effective composition. Usually a lot of dark, small details would obscure a main subject in the background but you've been able to highlight it and mostly overcome the problem. |

night falls at catchum lake.jpgby ChimericImagerComment by MelonMusketeer: If you could rub out the rest of the power line on the right, and the pole to the left of the dodged tree in the center, this would be one of those timeless looking images, where you cannot tell if it's captured yesterday or 100 years ago. Beautiful scene just as it is, and well done in timing, exposure, and PP. |

remains.jpgby ChimericImagerComment by Wink: Nice use of light to put emphasis on normally "unseen" remains. The long green spiked leaves are a little distracting IMO. |

wall of fog.jpgby ChimericImagerComment by Crisik: I love these - seems grey at first and then it is full of calm light and green tones... Message edited by author 2006-12-23 16:33:08. |

in the misty morning.jpgby ChimericImagerComment by Crisik: Beautiful series, has a painting like quality. However, on this one I am a bit puzzled by the horizontal stripes in upper and lower part - transparent leaves? fog? not enough selective dodging? |
