6/7 Turtleby jonfrommkComment by Charlene: I can't get over the detail you captured here. For sour, that's a hard one for me since I saw the scene transpire with great amusement. So I'll go with maybe having a different background that wasn't as busy (the dry board vs wet portion, and the moss). |

Would love to see this little guy's face. |

Sour - i would love to see its face and know what he is looking at. |

Historic Dock Warehousesby jonfrommkComment by colorcarnival: Nice choice for a colortone - I like how it emphasizes the sense of brick and wood. The only thing that's off for me is either that your pic is not straight or the Albert Warehouse is leaning to the left. :) |

Historic Dock Warehousesby jonfrommkComment by Germaine: I was so taken by the Albert Warehouse and the sky that I didn't notice the crop of the boats in front, and even when reminded, the boats don't bother me. These are docks! I love the processing. I have the impression that that this was a dark, cold day, and I want to get inside those cozy apartments. |

Historic Dock Warehousesby jonfrommkComment by bassbone: Jon
I love the comments and commentary that you provide with your photos. Excellent stuff!
I think the processing and contrasts of the darkness of the buildings and the sky work extremely well in this image.
However, the cropping of the boats in front really don't seem to fit the image for some strange reason. The way they are cropped (especially the sailboat in the foreground and how we only see a bit of the hull) and the fact that one is a very modern boat gives me a feeling that this is a quick snap.
A much closer-in shot with more height and less straight on set up would likely really help. The names and the details in these old warehouses are very cool - leveraging those attributes - would help this score better. |
