Day 28 - Waterfallby jonfrommkComment by SandyP: Wow Jon!!! 'bout fell out of my chair when I saw this. It is fabulous! I bet this looks amazing in color too. Having lived in El Paso, Texas, I grew to absolutely loathe the desert. But photos like this could definitely win be back over and make me want to make a trip to some exotic desert somewhere. . . like this one maybe :)
This is truly spectacular! What a cool vacation you had!

Day 25 - First Panoby jonfrommkComment by SandyP: Ohmygoodness! Your first one? Sure iddn't take you long to master it! Wow! This is so majestic. And again, it is such great subject for black and white because of the range of grays, whites and blacks. You did REALLY good! More vacation photos, please?? :)

Day 26 - The Mandalayby jonfrommkComment by SandyP: Wow! Yes, I'm glad you thought of us because this is an excellent subject for black and white photography. The pure white building looks radiant against the pretty tones of the grayscale. And I love the composition of those tropical trees in the foreground.
This is really good!

Day 18 - Backyard Poppyby jonfrommkComment by Melethia: This is one that because of the colors involved (I'm assuming background is green leafy stuff) is hard to get good contrast in B&W. In this case, it may be better in color. The framing and focus is lovely, by the way. Another thing you could try is converting by way of first using a saturation layer to create as much difference in color as possible between the yellows and the greens. I'm not exactly sure HOW to do that - maybe turn yellow down and turn green up, or add black to the green using selective color - that might work. Then convert. |
