Spring is tryingby nitro102Comment by dadas115: I do think this picture meets the challenge well and I like what it says to me, that there is still green underneath the snow. However, I find the subject not to be the most interesting one I have seen this week. The brown twig crossing the left side of the frame is distracting for me and there isn̢۪t really enough here to hold my attention for very long. The exposure and depth of field look good here but the focus looks a bit soft. Maybe just a little bit of USM would sharpen it up nicely. I think it is a good idea, but it needs a little something more. I gave it a 5.

Spring is tryingby nitro102Comment by pncowley: Very nice contrasts between the dark green and the snow. I found myself trying to turn my head to orient myself within the shot-- maybe a more shallow angle (it seems almost vertical) might be a better approach. |

Spring is tryingby nitro102Comment by sherryk471: Wonderful color and texture and I like the "au natural" aspect here. Some may think the stick on the left side should go but I prefer the "you get what you see" approach. Well done |

Candlelightby nitro102Comment by Yellowpeep: I love the light on the bubbles in this one. I have found that macro shots really tend to emphasize little details and with that said, you might have wanted to clean the top of the candle before taking this shot. |

Candlelightby nitro102Comment by Silver Fox: it's an okay picture of a candle. lots of bubble in the candle. some color, some lighting coming down from the top. I would like to have seen some of the lit wick for contrast and flare, you cropped the top off when perhaps you should have shown the top instead of the bottom. |
