If you have found this comment useful, you may wish to offer some of your own to those images where you vote 5.

A nicely executed candid and good job with the lighting. A five and not a six because this feels like a family snapshot. And don't get me wrong -- there's no shame in family snapshots. But I suspect this particular one offers more to, say, family than to a stranger in a photo contest.

I like the choice of B&W here, gives a good classic feel. But I think the shot would work better in a repeating elements or leading lines challenge, as I'm not focusing on a single point at all.
