It would have been a great shot had you posed the apple picker on a higher ladder. That way, you could have lit the subject with a spot light and his face would have been less shaded. I can't see his eyes clearly enough. Perhaps, having him pose so that his head was completely out of the way of the branches would have worked better. And, that's not a Gucci Hoodie. The apple pickers here wear Gucci. Try to make it less candid and more staged next time. BTW....how did you get that apple bush (or is it a tree?) into the studio? And.....the apple just above his head to the right of his head, seems to have a hole in it. I think that there must be a worm in it.

Oh wait, that was a fly on my monitor. It's ok. Changed my vote from a 1 to a 9! Nice image!

I like it to, and normally am ont a fan of selective desaturation. Would be interesting if the the res of the scene was only slightly saturated with the leaves in full color. good use of backlighting for detail.

MAN ... this is absolutely stunning .. the colours and darkness FANTASTIC!! .. a beautiful and emotive image, which i reckon is quite an achievement considering your subject matter .. of course the silly voters wouldnt know a brilliant and artistic photograph if it was to hit them right between the eye's .. wonderful michelle .. this totally satisfied the challenge too .. :)
