The word that popped into my head when I voted this one was "gentle" - there's an overarching sense of gentleness and peacefulness thoughout this photo. The careful way they're paddling, the careful way they seem to be sitting. The softness of the light touching the leaves just across the way. And none of this would carry in color, I don't think - black and white is perfect. An excellent memory!
