I looked at a B/W version of this shot and it just didn't work for me. I'm not exactly sure how the "channel mixer" conversion works, and the desaturate method looked poor.
I also liked the colors in the wood.

Yes, it is the character from the Dr. Suess book "Put me in the Zoo".
It was my daughters favorite book. As soon as she saw the stuffed animal in the store, she had to have it. It was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the challenge was "Spots". |
