The branches, shallow DOF and grain creates some sort of overlay. Very poignant feel to it. Works for me!

Very nicely done. I'm sure this will do poorly here, but the treatment of colors and shapes is excellent. I find some of the white lichen a bit distracting, but in general, it has a very good feel. (7)

I am very much enjoying this image. Great gathering of goldfinches (I am assuming that is what they are). And the feeder is way cool. From DPC standards not the best technicals - but for me it is just lovely.
