Waterlilyby sulamkComment by ccraft: Needs a bit more DOF to ensure the entire image is sharp - but beautiful eye-catching piece. |

Waterlilyby sulamkComment by Konador: I don't think the centered composition really works here. Maybe a closer crop using the rule of thirds woul dimprove the photo a bit? |

Waterlilyby sulamkComment by CNovack: I don't know if it was the time of day that is to be avoided or if it is the angle but there is a fair amount of reflective glare/sheen (not blatent but nonetheless it is there. The waterlilly is indeed very lovely but because the water is reflecting back more light that rich lovely hue of purple liliac color is a tad washed out. Changing the angle by kneeling down rather that a looking down shot would change the reflective quality of the light bouncing off the water. It could yield the result of getting a richer deeper color in the waterlilly and lillypads, not to mention give the surface of the water a more smooth mirrorlike effect. All these elements would help improve the image. That said it is a good shot but a change in angle (or even closing down the aperature setting for less light) would make the colors richer and water less reflective. |

Waterlilyby sulamkComment by dahkota: pretty image but the impact is lessened by centered composition (and I love centered composition). Cropping the bottom 1/4 would have lightened the image (all that dark) and would strengthen the flower. |

Scarlet Ibisby sulamkComment by C-town driver: Very interesting bird. It really 'pops' from the earthy background. The branch in the foreground also gives this a more natural/candid feel. |

Scarlet Ibisby sulamkComment by livitup: I know there's nothing you can do about it, but all the branches are really distracting. The bird looks slightly over saturated, as if you were trying to compensate for the tree. |
