Your treatment of the door itself is very nice. I personally love the bit of grass at the bottom. Maybe a tighter crop above and on the right would showcase your subject better. The grass and the deep shadow at the bottom of the door and the reddish tones on the yellow brick make a very attractive colour mix.

a study in green - i need to remember that not all images need to be sharp and that often the thing that draws you into taking the shot is sometimes things other than tack sharpness - in this case you have captured about 20 shades of green in this small space

I like all the different shades of green but the focus bothers me a little on the tree. if it was camera shake setting a higher ISO if possible would increase shutter speed, or sports mode would do the same

I do like the varying shades of green. Looks like maybe you could stand for bracing yourself against something as it looks like the shot suffers from camera shake.

Otherwise the composition is strong.

When I saw this, my first thought was that it would be more interesting if the door was open part way. That would add an element of mystery and adventure that would connect with the viewers better.
I like the linear elements in the composition.

this is an interesting image; slightly abstract; and the composition is origional :) perhaps some B&W with contrast would have complimented this image more? just a suggestion; goodluck!! :)

vertical lines, rectangles, earth tones, sharp edges and harsh lights and shadows - a good theme, a wonderful composition, a great shot

Comment by JuliBoc:
Love the colors textures and lighting. Very artistic shot. The little bit of grass is somewhat distracting to me. I wouldn't want the bottom of the door cropped, so I wonder if a little more grass at the bottom would help the composition.
