thanx waddy .. switch fully engaged .. when it wouldnt take i'd switch to manual focus, take a shot and then put it back to auto focus and it often worked then .. i didnt know about the af and mf switch on the camera and its at canon so i cant check right now .. i cleaned the contacts a few times on both the camera and the lenses with a lens cleaning cloth that you'd use on your glasses for eg didnt now about the pencil eraser .. it has the problem with a couple of different lenses as well .. i cant shoot manual focus except for macro .. my eyesight isnt good enough .. :)

What a fabulous shot! I love that his head is halfway out of the image, emphasizing the lift-off from the toast. Terrific pp, as usual.
