my girl - 6th Oct 2002 - 4th June 2019by rozComment by jomari: Heart rending photo, Roz. I hope things are getting a bit better for you. It takes a long time to get over the loss of a beloved pet. It took us about two years to be able to move on but we have a new girl in our lives now. Sometimes that is great but sometimes the differences in personality (and she is the same breed) just make it painful. |

my passion by rozComment by mariuca: I had 5 images in this challenge that I liked and of course, this is one of them.
It has humor, it has composition, it has an idea and this is the best quality of all.
As to monitors and calibrating, there is no way that we can control how people see an image on their screens. There are too many variables. That's why I insist that good images have to be printed.
Make a book Roz. |

my passion by rozComment by roz: Originally posted by Dennisheckman: Congratulations Roz! I thought this image was executed very well, but I was really wanting to see some color in the details and the bokeh. What caused you to enter a B&W entry? Just curious... |
thanks for your comment Dennis .. :)
to answer your question .. I LOVE BLACK AND WHITE .. !! ..
plus my monitor needs calibrating .. i can never be totally confident that the colours i see on my pc are the same as those seen by other people .. i usually check on my phone and laptop to see what the colours look like .. and usually on the phone they are much more saturated .. especially the red .. and on the laptop they are more subdued .. i'm using windows 7 on the pc and windows 10 on the laptop .. my phone is samsung s9+ ..
anyway .. during the editing process i did consider this in colour .. but i felt it had much more impact in black and white .. :)
