I understand your going for the dark moody feel with this but I think adding more contrast would have highlighted her eyes more and more emphasis to the drama you were looking for.

I agree about the tighter crop. I am using a lap-top's monitor so take the comments accordingly :) the cows look great but for some overcast light on their backs (not a real problem there). About the sky, yes, it is quite distracting, there are different ways to sort that out specially if you are shooting RAW. Here a useful tutorian on blending exposures

Hello from a teammate! I really like this shot as well. I personally would have liked to see a tighter crop on the cows....they seem a tad far away...IMO. Also, maybe if you had tweaked the colors a little bit more, it may look brighter. Overall it's a really nice shot. ~Magen

Very nice. It may be a bit gray, and I don't like the up-nose aspect, but the atmosphere of the picture makes up for these minor issues.

Hey Roz!

This is a nice capture. Composition is really excellent and the focus seems dead on. The first cow is awesome & I kinda almost feel as if I am looking at it & it is looking at me. When a foto evokes emaotions, you know you've done something reallyy right. Good job!

Some suggestions/critiques:
The sky is blown out and a bit distracting. I think this shot would have scored far more better if this were not the case. I can think of several things in post processing that might have correcte this. An adjustment laer of levels to darken the sky & lighten the foreground (everything else looks a bit darker compared to the blown out sky). You could also try a bit of dodging & burning too to soften up the sky. I do have to say that when I look at the picture the cows keep me engaged and I have to force myself to look beyond it to see the sky.

Overall, this is a great shot. Well done.
