A good polarizer would help a lot. There is a lot of difference in quality in them, and generally the best ones are pricey. We only get one opportunit to capture each image, so it is money well spent. Another trick learned from my brother was to shoot "naked", with no filter at all sometimes, esp when shooting away from the sun to get the deep blue in the sky.
This looks like a Florida backroads scene, except that there are no pine trees.

Isn't this thread great to get us looking at our world through a photo's eyes :) I love looking at your place. It's the kind of place that makes me feel like I'm out of the suburbs and enjoying more open spaces. I love these huge tall trees. And you do an amazing job of compensating for the bright sky! I'm impressed.

But it will be great to see some pictures of Picton tomorrow too :)

I think you did a great job! Did you use a gradient layer? You did it very well, and its amazing the difference it makes in your photo! I can't believe how much where you live looks like Texas. . .on the other side of the world. It makes the world seem like such a smaller place.

I'd love to live in a place like that, with the land and lots of space between neighbors. I love road pictures.
