It looks like it is soggy in the mornings where you live. I feel that the processing improved the original quite a bit. That is a very strudy looking corner post. The wood grain in the post takes some of the attention off of the dew drops that you wanted to show in this image, so both are good for different subject matter.

I've often tried similar types of photos with little or no success. I think what works for this, aside from the great light, is that you composed in such a way that the pattern of trees is pulling you into the photo. Very, very nice!
