Landscapeby whiterookComment by littlegett: I am sure many people have already pointed out the cropping of the time bar or even disabling it. I think a slight curves adjustment would really allow this image to shine more. I like the perspective, but it also doesn't tell me your occupation or what you spend time doing. |

New day, new hopesby whiterookComment by LalliSig: NO offense meant of course but when I first saw this shot, I just went looking all over for the subject of this photo and found nothing of interest. Simply put, I view this photo and think to myself "this is a photo of nothing". Had you included something, like a boat, bridge, cliff or the sun rising it would have been a different matter :) As it is though it´s hard to vote this anything but a 5 as it´s hardly bad but not good either. Oh and a friendly pice of advice unless you plainly forgot or didn´t have time, try to fix slanted horizons next time, they tend to drag your scores down here at DPC :) |

Landscapeby whiterookComment by pacpinto: You sure you know the challenge's theme? This just can't possibly be even remotely connected with "Your Occupation". Sorry. |

Landscapeby whiterookComment by Beetle: Some suggestions for this one:
1) level your horizon
2) turn off your date stamp (those things get you DQ'ed, I'm surprised that hasn't happened yet)
3) I am guessing that the haze was caused by sunlight hitting the lens. A lens hood would have avoided it, but a little tweak in curves does wonders for this photo after the fact.
4) If you had positioned yourself so that you created some diagonals, you might have ended up with a stronger composition. |

Landscapeby whiterookComment by briantammy: lanscape contractor? on my monitor the whole image appears washed out somewhat, and the horizon is a little out of level. |
