Great sunset/sunrise image! The red dot in the sky is a little distracting tho. Plus the challenge calls for using a colorful impact to offset your subject from the rest of the photograph. But your entire photograph, with very little exception, is the subject... a sunset/sunrise. But there is that little strip of land. So its gotta be worth at least a 6.

Here is a quick and easy way to check your horizon: pull down the scroll bar (on the right hand side of the window) to move your photo UPwards. Stop when the horizon starts to disappear - you'll see that the right hand side hits the top of the window long before the left side does.

I consider this OOB. everything is wood, so in a sense it all blends together. this reminds me of Stevens' Jar In Tennessee. A single item put into a place defines the place. whiterook defines his world...

This looks like a beautiful place, and if the log was just cropped off, it would be an outstanding composition. There does seem to be quite a bit of noise, though, especially in the sky.
