I like this shot, but I find the bird feeder and background distracting.

Without the birdhouse, and an off-center crop maybe?

Well executed... a bit blown on the grass.. I presume that you used some heavy filtering? Or the lenscap? If not, nice work on the color balance.

Very nice! I love the detail and colors. It might be even better with a portrait (vertical) crop to remove the portion of the feeder in the upper-left corner. Well done!

Excellent focus on the subject. I really like the DOF on this - works very well.

Never seen a humming bird that calm, and clear... Very nice job. This thing alive right :P

now that is a wonderful capture! i am so used to seeing them in flight with their wings moving so fast the camera lens can't keep up. to see one sitting still is really something. you must have incredible patience. beautiful colors of course and i love the details on the feathers. just look at that texture! i like that green in the bg, especially the way it gradiates (is that a word?) from light to dark. i do wonder however, if it wouldn't be better to edit out all but the perch he is holding onto. i'd like to imagine him in a more natural setting and seeing the feeder is a bit distracting. all the same, that's a matter of preference. lovely shot.

Comment by RonRobertson:
Very nice shot! I think it might have been a bit nicer if there was a bit more light on the bird. Keep up the nice work.

Nice shot, looks good with the barn not being directly in the center and off to the side a bit
