Definitely a sky that is crying out for some dodge / burn and even a softlight / multiply layer or two to bring out that purpley red in the top right, I think this has the makings of a really good image, I would also be tempted to alter the hue of the sea and make it a little more contrasty theres some good detail in the water.

Actually I have just spent 5 minutes on some of the above and already I think the potential in the image is starting to show.

Nice pose, however your processing needs a lot of work. There is a white bar on the right hand side of the photo which is very distracting. Also, I believe you can play a lot with the saturation and curves to create a more appealing effect.

This one seems to have less context, less cohesion (which seems odd for an abstract, I realize). Warm colors are good, but I prefer the other one.

The colors here work very well and the swirl creates a vortex that seems to be swallowing someone. I think it's kinda cool!
