 I have no idea what the heck this animal is. I thought it was a caribou but its really small. (less than a meter in height).

post challenge:
Not my favorite image I've taken and not even the best I took for the challenge. I thought the animal itself was interesting so I thought I would use the challenge to share. The species? I believe its a young caribou. What confused me was this one was with a bunch of even smaller ones and there was no adults in the herd.

I've no idea what he is either but he's got a lovely face. From the cloudiness at the sides of the photo I'd say he's either behind glass or you've got a DOF setting I'm unfamiliar with; if you did shoot through glass, then well done on the really good sharpness on his face.

That poor old boy must have lost some of the skirmishes he was in... Those are the saddest looking set of antlers I've seen. I believe that the photo may have benifited from some additional post processing

Caribou i believe, but with strangely small antlers. maybe they're just growing in.

Nice pose, however your processing needs a lot of work. There is a white bar on the right hand side of the photo which is very distracting. Also, I believe you can play a lot with the saturation and curves to create a more appealing effect.
