Rosebud.jpgby SheryllComment by Tlemetry: The focus needs to be on the petals and not on the stem. I have done this so many times myself. I like the processing, the lighter 'glow' behind the rose helps the rose stand out on its own. Good practice!

Last Petals.jpgby SheryllComment by annig: very well done, I agree about the vignetting, but that's the fun of Live & learn! and you can always redo it at home! I am a complete stranger to PS, so it sounds like a lot of work to me, but the image is very clear, and the reds are great!

The flower itself looks somewhat soft, especially the parts closest to the viewer - for me, in this case, it doesn't quite work, somehow I keep expecting this one to be in focus both in front and at the mid level. Maybe it's just me. |
