Butterfly on Orange Flowerby JuliBocComment by MelonMusketeer: Every thing was just right when you clicked the shutter on this one. Thanks for posting the pic and also the location. I may want to go there some day when I am in that area. The soft green background really makes the strong colors in the subjects look good. |

Goldfinger - "The Midas Touch"by JuliBocComment by rex: Ok you asked for it so please take it with a grain of salt if you wish. I know I really like the harsh comments because it is where I learn more even though it stings for a minute. I think posthumous said it well. On this website you have to come up with an idea that stands out above the crown or most will vote a 5 and pass it by. When I first looked at this shot my first impression was there was just too much going on. Maybe if you would have cut the image right down the middle and then submitted the left hale. I didn't notice the thumb in the image at first and that should have stood out more. Asl oI think you are right about it being too far removed from the Bond Movie style.
I have also taken a look in your portfolio here and you have some awesome work there and you shall do good here. |

How Many Patterns?by JuliBocComment by katswig: I would like to be able tos ee the brick paving pattern even where it is in the sunlight. And the over exposure above the gate is distracting. |

Limpkin - brown camouflageby JuliBocComment by noraneko: Another very solid entry, Julianne! Nice capture and good composition. I'd like to see this with a little shorter DOF to make the Limpkin pop more, but I realize how hard that is when you've got one chance to take a shot. Good job! |
