Upon Reflectionby JuliBocComment by annig: can't tell what your subject is here; lily pads could take some saturation and then maybe they'd be emnphasized better |

White Squirrelby JuliBocComment by CNovack: Wow, what a beauty this is! On a recent trip to NC I learned about the white squirrels thought to be only located in/surrounding the town of Brevard (Brevard County). Beautiful creatures - I was a tad disappointed in not spotting one. You are very lucky to have seen one as well as wonderfully capture this beauty on 'film'. Side note I have to ask: does this mean one can see them down here in S. Florida?!?!?! Message edited by author 2007-09-06 09:08:42. |

Stained Glassby JuliBocComment by CNovack: Love the lovely green hues seen on the butterfly and the leaf it rests on. Very nice sharp detail on the wings and the textures of the leaf. I like how the DOF is shallow and that it has a bokeh look background for the butterfly to pop off of. |

Whiskersby JuliBocComment by noraneko: Wow, I think you got a little robbed scorewise on this one, Julianne! I suspect you got hurt due to some grain in the photo. I've discovered that using a soft paintbrush at about 25% opacity to paint over grainy areas really does the trick - for example in the tiger's mouth, on his teeth, in his eyes, and on his nose. It gives a sleek, silky looks without looking fake. I also think you may have cropped just a little bit tightly on this one - I wish there was some negative space around his whiskers. |

Outrunning the Rainby JuliBocComment by jaysonmc: I think if you would have made the rain swells a little darker you would have nailed the shot. They kind of get lost. Nevertheless wonderful idea for the challenge. |
