P&S Day 10 - Wetlandsby JuliBocComment by MelonMusketeer: I understand the problem with image file size here at DPC. A photo that has all the rich little details like this one must have, gets quite busy looking when you make it posting sized for DPC. I try to keep my challenge shots simple for that reason.

P&S Day 9 - Waiting for Mammaby JuliBocComment by MelonMusketeer: What a nice close up of a normally rather shy bird. I have a difficult time getting within 100 ft of these little guys. You are so fortunate to have such a good location to go and shoot all your wonderful bird shots.

P&S Day 10 - Wetlandsby JuliBocComment by tnun: Very real limitations in the compression. Often you can tell how much better a (non-winning!) photo would look at higher resolution, but this one truly suffers. It would be nice if you could post a crop at higher resolution. |

i have noticed the same thing with complex shots - they don't hold up well to compression and size restrictions - i guess you remind me that i need to stay very simple to score well here at DPC |
