Reflection a la Van Goghby JuliBocComment by Mark-A: Unfortunately I just don't think there is enough detail in this shot to keep a viewers interest so I suspect your scores may suffer for that.

Beach - 9by JuliBocComment by HeiSch: I'm always intrigued by rocks at the beach. Many textures only come out when they're wet. Love this one. |

Reflection a la Van Goghby JuliBocComment by treimee: Very good idea. However, I would have really liked to see the trees upside down. The trees being the way they are doesn't really meet the challenge for me. |

Beach - 4by JuliBocComment by Mr_Pants: I get the impression while looking at this that it could even have been taken underwater. Perhaps I need a rest. |

Beach - 2by JuliBocComment by Mr_Pants: While I like your placement here, I find that the portion of sand visible through the claw, being in sharp focus, detracts from the shape of the pincers themselves. Perhaps it could be selectively blurred a little. |

Beach - 9by JuliBocComment by hajeka: It looks better to me now. Nice job! Can't remember the first one exactly, but the colors here are also very nice. Shadows are indeed very harsh, but that's always a problem with direct sunlight. |

Beach - 9by JuliBocComment by Mark-A: Maybe not as interesting as your previous entries Julianne but again you have managed to fill the frame with tone and texture something which you do so very well.
There are some harsh shadows in there as the previous commentor pointed out, but in a way this adds interest for me as it really enhances the deepness of the textures on some of the rougher stones. |
