In the sunlightby silverscreenComment by cogerox: I like the soft background against the strong image of the ladybug. Her shell has such a painterly quality about it. Excellent composition. |

A good start...by silverscreenComment by digitalknight: this is tough to light - I think you've done a great job there. Maybe softening those harsh highlights would have been helpful.
My biggest suggestion is do something more with the crossaint (how do you spell that?). I'd like to see the curve of the breakfast roll more closely match the curve of the plate - with no bite having been removed.
To me it would feel more commercial that way - but even with the bite removed I think you could place it more as a curve to accent the nice round lines in the rest of your composition.
AH, that's it - everything is nice and round except for the giant angle in the corner - there - give me three paragraphs and I'll figure it out. I'm leaving the whole ramble though so you can have a giant comment on your photo! ;-P
This is very nice work overall though - you should be proud to have this in your portfolio. 7 |

Baitby silverscreenComment by magenmarie: Excellent clarity. I especially like the red feather and the border. Makes the hook "pop". |

Baitby silverscreenComment by Art Roflmao: Great one! I could see shooting that thing from several angles with the focus on different parts and making a triptych out of it. Very cool. Looks like you're hooked on this macro challenge. :P |
