Hi there,
This photo has that old fashoned look to it. Too bad the focus is a little soft. I'm not sure that your hand there adds to this shot. I would have cropped this one so there are more "Lead in" rather than have you centered in the middle.

I suspect, this portrait may not fare as well here as, IMO, it should. The focus is very 'soft'. The hand, perhaps, a tad too cut off, the frame quite massive, considering the size of the picture. Yet, I like it quite a bit, because of the turn of the century manner and, not least, the sincerity communicated by both manner and subject. > 6

Godd use of b&w, I really like the soft focus and simple elegance of your shot. Demonstrates a longing. It also speaks of self confidence and your beauty. I think photography should communicate a feeling and i think you have done that very well.

technically it seems fine, but doesn't really grab me in any way. there's nothing wrong with it...I just can't find what's right either. Maybe the yellow background is too overpowering? not sure. your lighting is the strength in this image.
