This is a plant, right? It would make a great character in a horror movie. The crop is a little too tight. Just like not cutting off peoples hands and feet, I think you shouldn't have cropped the wacko staemns. This is over exposed, I wonder how the purple would have looked under exposed. Or if the baclground had been white, the overexposed look might have made a nice high key image. The backgound is dtstracting,

This image appears to lack contrast and the DOF is probably a bit too shallow. The composition is a little tight and centred diagonally. Great idea though - the light really plays on those drops well.

For all who questioned: there is a boat in the lock, that is why the water is being let out. The waiting is for the boat that is just about to appear at the new, lower, level.
