uh oh - monitor calibration issues here - I don't see any texture in the background at all. Good thing I never vote from the laptop. I'm wondering if many others see only white in the background as well. Might explain the poor showing of a nice image.

Wow! This picture just blares out purple! For the most part, I like this photo. However, I think it would have been better without the tag on the object in the foreground. The purple on the wall seems a tad oversaturated, and I wish the carpet provided more contrast. Again, though - I really like the concept of the photo overall!

best flower in the challenge - excellent colors against "rice paper" feeling background. I like the composition and the petals stretching beyond the frame. One of my favorites this challenge
