Sky and water reflections are a little overblown. Your focus and dof are very good. Subject is not the most imaginative. Someone walking down the pier would have added a lot of interest.

Interesting that you chose the King's reflection as the point of focus. I didn't think it was appropriate until I realize it was the King. I found my eyes drifting around looking for something sharp. Started in the middle of the frame, but wonder all around before I found it. You might have exchanged the position of the Queen with the King.

Very nice picture, normally the chess figures on the board pictures are boring but this one works well for this challenge and I like the strong contrast between the brights of the pieces and the darkness of the board. I would prefer a tighter crop at the top cutting off up to the edge of the corner of the board.
