Very interesting composition! Was this cropped much? I'm wondering about the softness around the edges..could be my monitor. What was the f-stop and shutter speed? The detail and pattern is great but the center seems more sharp?

I love to let my eyes relax and follow the "darts" of the vains and the gentle shadows...

Really simple compositions always interest me....I love the minimalist aproach. I don't think it is boring at all. Now if that bulb had been centered and not tilted a little it might have been a little boring, but your positioning of the bulb and the lighting makes it very interesting to me.

I like this composition as well, but the focus seems slightly off on the foreground subject, which has the effect for me preventing him from being adequately isolated from the background, as in your other accordion player shot.
