I could not make a single shot that was perfectly sharp, because at close range the DOF is really shallow (even if you stop it down to f/13, f/15) and it's very hard to get everything sharp.

There was minimal cropping done, just at the edges so that the vane goes diagonally from one to the other side of the photo.

Looks good and works well in high constrast like this. Where's a fill the frame challenge when you need one?

I like it a lot! Very good, agree with the other comments. I don't like the small black patches, but that is nitpicking. ;)

Very interesting composition! Was this cropped much? I'm wondering about the softness around the edges..could be my monitor. What was the f-stop and shutter speed? The detail and pattern is great but the center seems more sharp?

I love to let my eyes relax and follow the "darts" of the vains and the gentle shadows...
