Mothers of the Worldby JeileenComment by OneSweetSin: *Critique Club*
The statue itself needs a little more defination, as it is lacking shadowing and depth. However the palm tree behind it makes up greatly for it. The tree gives the entire statue an appearence of a "halo" around the mother and babe much like many of the old masters have painted the MaDonna.
Your composition is very good and you might improve on it overall but cropping in at the bottom and cutting out part of the base. There seems to be a line almost created by the bottom of the trees and the placard of the statue. Cutting that little bit out might improve a little on it.
Overall it fits the challenge well. Nicely done.

Surrey, Surreyby JeileenComment by dsidwell: Nice colors and point of view. The lines you create here really pull us in. Image seems a bit blurry, though. |

Surrey, Surreyby JeileenComment by inspzil: This photo lacks clarity. Either everything is slightly out of focus, or after resizing you need to sharpen it one time to restore the clarity. |

Surrey, Surreyby JeileenComment by FranziskaLang: Great subject for this challenge. I like that the "bikes" are lined up pretty exactly and the colors. The somewhat OOF or fuzzy look of the image lets you down though. Not sure whether it's compression but I don't think so because the sky looks nice. |

Surrey, Surreyby JeileenComment by Marjo: Interesting and colorful capture. Appears slightly fuzzy to me, though. Also, looks like a little more could be cropped off the top. Good find for this challenge and great job on the composition. |

Surrey, Surreyby JeileenComment by xhoss: good idea - not real sharp though. Has a "soft", almost out of focus feel to it. Did you use the digital zoom? |
