Snow Falling on Cedarby MaryOComment by Donna21: I really liked this, but only gave it a 7. The composition was beautiful, and I loved the jewel-like quality, but I wanted to see more detail. |

Snow Falling on Cedarby MaryOComment by figaro: Beautifully composed shot and a lovely subject. I actually think you could have achieved a far superior bokeh with you 50mm 1.4 - the bokeh on this doesn't quite convince me and I reckon the DoF could be a little shallower as well. But none of that takes away from the fact it's very nicely done indeed! |

Hiding Under Nana's Dining Room Sideboardby MaryOComment by gjumi: For a moment you tricked me, the image has the almost perfect look to be a first memory. But, after paying a bit of attention, I thought: can the first memory be dynamic? I mean, here's this lovely lady walking and she'll pass pretty soon. So, how will this image be imprinted on a kid's mind and stay there for so long? I think this is a reconstruction of several first memories. And, a perfect one at that, a very good telling of a story. Even her dress, the chairs, the table, remind me of my aunt, and that's really pushing my memories way back. |

Essence of Catby MaryOComment by paynekj: The idea of making it very bright was a good one as it does focus attention on the eyes, but you needed the eyes to be sharp and it appears the cat was moving. |
