Butterfly Dreamsby MaryOComment by pixelpig: Sweet, rich color is the first thing I notice. Then I admire the dreamy quality. The little \"headlights\" on the feelers are a definite plus. Most of all I admire the silky BG. IMO soft focus shots are much, much more difficult that the tack-sharp ones & this one is very well done. |

Lonerby MaryOComment by carofo: I like the flower but the orangey grasses on the left are what especially works for me. I like how DOF plays with the different strands against the deep green of the BG. Another excellent shot in every way. |

Spicebush Swallowtailby MaryOComment by Tlemetry: My FS has purple in it, I guess I will take my chances. This is most excellent shot! I love the focus, the light and the composition. The green background stands out over the purple to me. Its a minor element in the overall show. I would enter it anyway!
