Day 3: Waitingby ShmeeComment by noraneko: This is lovely. Really emotive - there's a sense of fear that someone important may not show up - and the viewer feels empathy for the subject. I prefer the photo you chose over your outtakes. I like the heavy blue of the curtains - think it adds to the emotions being played out here. |

Day 3: Waitingby ShmeeComment by bassbone: Neat entry - thanks for sharing it (and taking the time to set it up without your tripod). I think the color version with the blues and gold of your hair is much better than the B/W version. In addition, the image where you are illuminated but we can't see out the window seems to make better. |

Day 2: Farm land.jpgby ShmeeComment by Melethia: Yes, happens to me a lot - but as you say, post processing does wonders sometimes! The basic composition is very pleasing and it looks as though you have enough light to work with so I do imagine the processed version is quite different. Did you try tonemapping it? |

Day1:TheStairs.jpgby ShmeeComment by noraneko: This is great! You really have a lot to work with - very well composed image. It does look a little over-sharpened to me - and maybe you can do that cool perspective correction that some people know in PS? (I don't have a clue how to do it.) I love the textures, BTW. Great choice of location. |

Day 2: Farm land.jpgby ShmeeComment by bassbone: I seem to find the same thing when I take images of open plains like this. I think you will be able to bring out a great deal more pop by adjusting the hue/saturation and fixing the levels in PS.
The major issue I see with this and other images like this is that I don't see a specific focal point. It's a nice landscape, but what is it in the image that is suppose to draw me in? |

Day1:TheStairs.jpgby ShmeeComment by bassbone: Although a little underexposed, I love teh composition and lines in this image. A little PP will do wonders with this. I would think a little more light on the model and a little dodge/burn on some of the neat details of this alley (especially the brick wall and the steel wall) would make this shine. |
