Treeby RetroesqueComment by Retroesque: I don't understand either - it's like people in the suburbs are allergic to nature!
We also had VERY large trees on our block removed by the water company - so I have had the experience.
But this tree of mine in my front yard is STUNNING and SECURE - sure it drops it's leaves and they blow all over the street (and it has spikey pods that it sheds too) - but it's NATURE! It comes in cycles, how magic!
And it's amazing how everyone loves it when they're trying to find shade for their cars in our street - GRIN!
POWER TO THE TREES! |

Treeby RetroesqueComment by daboardergirl: I can't believe people suggest you knock the tree down!! I like the reflection effect. Nice job! |

Treeby RetroesqueComment by Bruce_the_Robert: Neat image, and I like how you've played with it; when I first saw it it looked like two trees were holding hands!
/mild hijack/ The power company wanted to take down a bunch of trees on my dad's property; came by, walking along, marking them, and he went out and told them to get off of his property. They said they had the right to be there, and were taking down a bunch of his trees. He told them to prove it, or else next time they showed up he was calling the police for trespassing (they offered no proof they were allowed to be there, other than pointing at the power lines and saying, "those are ours"). The trees we planted when I was young are still growing ;) I hope yours stays around, too! /mild hijack/ |

Fanby RetroesqueComment by Bruce_the_Robert: I love it, great image; I love seeing photographs that see something that I might have missed, or see it in a different way, as you've done here (as others have already said). I might have been tempted to rotate this maybe 1 or 2 degrees counter-clockwise (or anti-clockwise, if you prefer). The left side is straight, but the right is the tiniest bit off (but if you rotated, it would converge a touch toward the bottom, and I'm not that would be better, just different). |
